Jessica Vega-Rogowicz of Miles Against Melanoma PA was featured in the Summer 2013 issue of Pittsburgh Quarterly Magazine. The article discusses the dangers of tanning, sunburns, and how melanoma is much more common than most people think. Dr. Howard Edington and Dr. John Kirkwood, both of Pittsburgh, are featured in the article as experts in the field of skin cancer. Jessica Vega-Rogowicz discusses her experience with tanning, sunburns, and how she came to learn that she developed the most deadly form of skin cancer.

Thank you to Kate Olson! She will be teaching a yoga benefit class at BYS Yoga Studio in the South Side on April 5, 2013! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Miles Against Melanoma.
She has been a yoga teacher since 2008. Kate was diagnosed with melanoma in 2012. Thanks to annual skin checks with a dermatologist, Kate’s melanoma was detected early and she is cancer-free today. She encourages everyone to schedule annual skin checks with a dermatologist and wear sunscreen!
Please view the flyer and view us for a fun night! Thank you to BYS Studio and Kate Olson for your generosity!
